Snowy Conditions Plague Rally as Lappi Overtakes Katsuta

Esapekka Lappi claimed three stage wins from the four afternoon tests to open up a 3.2s rally lead over Takamoto Katsuta. Heavy snow made conditions incredibly challenging, with the top times posted by Rally2 cars, while WRC championship leader Thierry Neuville endured a challenging day due to a fuel pressure problem, engine issues before a stage, and an unattached bonnet. Meanwhile, Oliver Solberg jumped to third overall with cleaner road conditions. Lappi secured a hat-trick of stage wins in the snow flurries, further extending his lead over Katsuta. Rally Sweden continues on Saturday with seven more stages.
