MotoGP 2027 Technical Regulation Overhaul: What to Expect

MotoGP will overhaul technical regulations for 2027, downsizing engines to 850cc and reducing aerodynamics to improve safety and racing spectacle. Other changes include bans on ride height devices, reductions in engine numbers, weight, and fuel tank capacity. The concessions system will continue, with new manufacturers starting at Rank D. Sustainable fuels will be mandated. The last major overhaul was in 2016, leading to increased manufacturer presence and competitiveness. BMW is considering entry into MotoGP but has not committed yet.
