Guenther Holds off Rowland to Secure Victory

Maximilian Guenther resisted late pressure from Oliver Rowland to secure a hard-fought victory in the 2024 Tokyo E-Prix. Despite Rowland’s attempts to overtake on the final lap, Guenther held on to the lead after strategically managing the race and using Attack Mode effectively. Pole sitter Rowland had led most of the race, but track position was crucial on the tight layout, leading to limited overtaking opportunities. Reigning champion Jake Dennis finished third after a late overtake, while Edoardo Mortara was disqualified for energy over usage, promoting Nico Muller to sixth. The race also saw incidents for Mitch Evans and Robin Frijns, affecting their finishing positions.
