Bahrain Day 2: Sainz sets the pace

Carlos Sainz set the pace at Bahrain International Circuit in the second day of F1 testing, coming ahead of Red Bull’s Sergio Perez and Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes. Sainz’s best time was 0.758s clear of Perez, and was set on a tire not available in the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix. Hamilton and Stroll were among the top drivers on the grid, with Perez logging the most laps at 129. The morning session was slowed by a drain cover incident and did not resume due to technical problems.
