Liberty CEO rules out negotiating joint TV deals for F1 and MotoGP

American media company Liberty has acquired 86% of Dorna Sports and MotoGP in a €4.2 billion deal, now owning both F1 and MotoGP. Liberty CEO Greg Maffei ruled out negotiating joint TV deals for both series due to regulatory issues. Despite this, Maffei is confident in Liberty’s ability to market MotoGP to new media partners and grow its fanbase, drawing on their success in expanding F1’s reach since taking over in 2016.
