McLaren’s Lando Norris defended the team’s aggressive strategy call to stay out during the Saudi Arabian GP despite finishing two places lower than his starting position. Norris acknowledged the risk but felt it was a good attempt to try something different. He had to follow Lewis Hamilton’s strategy by switching to soft tires later in the race, ultimately finishing behind the Mercedes driver. Norris praised Ferrari rookie Oliver Bearman’s performance and narrowly missed catching him due to tire degradation.
